Die Ereignisse im japanischen Atomkraftwerk Fukushima überschlagen sich. Ein Super-GAU ist weiterhin nicht auszuschließen. Dass der Mythos der sicheren und sauberen Atomenergie damit endgültig Geschichte sein wird, sind sich die Jusos sicher. Die Sofortabschaltung der sieben ältesten deutschen Atomkraftwerke ist deshalb nur folgerichtig und überfällig. Schockierend nur, dass diese Einsicht erst nach den katastrophalen Ereignissen in Japan bei den PolitikerInnen von Union und FDP angekommen zu seien scheint. „Wir Jusos stehen weiterhin zu dem im Jahre 2000 von der rot-grünen Bundesregierung beschlossenen Atomausstieg und hoffen, dass die hessische Umweltministerin Lucia Puttrich dafür Sorge trägt, dass der hessische Schrottreaktor Biblis auch nach der dreimonatigen Zwangspause nicht wieder ans Netz geht!“, so der nordhessische Juso-Bezirksvorsitzende Pascal Barthel. Insgesamt gab es in den beiden Blöcken des Kernkraftwerks Biblis mehr als 800 „meldepflichtige Ereignisse“. „Von sicherer Atomkraft kann also hierzulande nicht die Rede sein“, so Barthel weiter.
Zusammen mit den Kasseler JungsozialistInnen wollen die nordhessischen Bezirksjusos deshalb am Samstag in der Zeit von 14-16 Uhr in der Kasseler Innenstadt Unterschriften für den Atomausstieg sammeln. „Es ist wichtig, dass die Bürgerinnen und Bürger weiter darüber aufgeklärt werden, dass es keine sichere Atomkraft gibt und gemeinsam mit den Anti-Atomkraft-Parteien gegen die schwarz-gelbe Laufzeitverlängerung über das Jahr 2020 hinaus protestieren und handeln.“, so die Kasseler Juso-Unterbezirksvorsitzende Sabine Wurst.
Der Infostand und die Unterschriftenaktion werden am Samstag, den 19.03. von 14-16 Uhr auf dem Kasseler Friedrichsplatz (neben SinnLeffers) stattfinden.
