Im Rahmen unseres regulären Treffens am Mittwoch, den 22.10. haben wir uns über die Situation im Irak und Syrien unterhalten. Für uns ist es wichtig, dass die internationle Gemeinschaft die Menschen dort vor dem IS-Terror schützt. Dazu brauchen wir nicht mehr Waffen vor Ort, sondern eine internationale Schutztruppe und anschließende Friedenssicherung. Da eine solche unter der momentanen Architektur der UN und ihres Sicherheitsrates allerdings nicht zustande kommen wird, setzen wir uns für eine Reform der internationalen Institutionen und der dadurch möglichen Zusammenarbeit ein!
Außerdem fordern wir mehr Transparenz und demokratische Kontrolle in der Rüstungsindustrie und verurteilen Waffenexporte aus Profitgründen!
